I have spent over 25 years owning or managing small and medium sized enterprises (SME's).
These range from £200k to £15m turnover and from 4 – 260 employees in both manufacturing and services. There aren’t many business scenarios I haven’t experienced!
During my career I have been only too conscious of how few business advisors actually have the experience of running a small or medium sized business. Whilst they may have valuable specialist expertise they often have no experience of the very different issues, dynamics and pressures that are specific to this sector and the environment in which you operate.
From personal experience I know how important this is – I’ve lived the life!
